Creating a custom story, but need help!

Hello, I was looking for help, I had a great idea for a custom story, I have been on it for about a week and a half, but I'm really new to it, I only know how to place the stuff on the floor, I was wondering if anyone had a guide, I seen people talking about coding an such, I couldnt find any advanced guides on You Tube for special effects, so if you had a guide or knew a guide or could even give me some tips it would be GREATLY appreciated! thanks!

My mistake, by advanced what I were trying to say was not the basic stuff like just building things, sorry

Also, what I desperately want to know is there will be multiple maps I need to create, do I need them on 1 HPL level editor, or do I use make 1 map save open new one make another and save again?

Yes, you can make many name.maps, aka many maps and connect them, like in original game.
