Bumping an old thread here, but I still haven't got them to work. I have made a PosNode for the end, stated it in the rope settings, and even made extra PosNode areas to put in the StartBody and EndBody settings. The rope does not attach to the end, it just dangles.

You're not suppose to put PosNode names in the StartBody and EndBody fields.

It says it looks for bodies and then entities, do PosNode areas not count as entities? From my experience, areas are entities.

I learned simply by mimicking the beginning room in Justine. Have you tried doing that?

Areas don't have bodies, so the type of entities being assumed aren't areas.
