that sucks man. I had something similar with my old custom story. Good part is that you still have the ideas in your head, atleast, I hope so Wink good luck recreating!

Well, this is going to help, I am getting a new graphics card for my birthday. I am either getting the GTX 550 or GTX 560. This is going to help the progress of this by a lot! At the moment my graphics card is meant for 3D modelling and not for gaming. So the editor runs REALLY slow. (Quadro FX 1500) By the way, I got the intro level done. I will soon release a demo for the day/night cycles.

1.3.2 is out, so this is a bit late but, I am incorporating villager trading and scattering villages through out the world. This is coming VERY SLOWLY In October I am getting the GTX 560. I am going to release a Daytime to Nighttime interactive demo. Who knows when it will be done...

hey,
just discovered this thread, and i'm not really sure... did you return to the real minecraft-world after the crash? srsly, but i can't really imagine, how you want to make a minecraft-like CS with the a:tdd-models...? i mean, they are not really similar to mc :/ and i really liked the idea of a minecraft world as a mod in amnesia! it's easy to convert the world into an obj-file, import it to blender/(maya), texture it, and load it into the editor... thats like 1h maximum. and it's something else than castles, how many times did you see something like this? and i also don't think, that herobrine will fit into a "real-world-designed"-cs...
(as long as you model him the pixel-styled-way)


so, if you want to make something new, get back to the minecraft-world. the idea is awesome, and as statyk, i was really excited to play in a minecraft world :c it's obviously much more work, i know, i'm working on a full conversion mod, with completly new models, textures and enemies. compared to that, be lucky you already have an epic world! don't think it's mainly the work of your computer, there will be still enough to do...

Working on a full conv.-mod, first pictures coming soon...


Working with Blender and other Stuff since 2009.
Using HPL-Engine since 2012 (learning..)

It is quite hard, it is really hard when your graphics card is really outdated so the leveleditor runs really slow so thinking about it I might put the Minecraft world back in so that is will be easier on me I just got to get a minecraft world and put the spawn near a village and I got plans for it all!

I can have an easier edit with it because it is minecraft then when I am all done, I can export it in to Maya and then import it in to Amnesia
