The demo at Amnesiagame.com says:

At the MacStore it says:

Quote:- Intel Processor.
- ATI/AMD, NVIDIA graphics card or at bare minimum an Intel HD 3000 graphics chip.

The Intel HD addition is correct but shouldn't it say that the Intel cpu must be above 2.0GHz and only OpenGL 2.1 cards are supported (Nvidia 6XXX/Radeon X1000 and above)?

(too bad I'm only a windows user, otherwise I would have already bought it! Tongue

The extra details not needed as there are no macs that matches those requierments and not fulfilling them both as needed.

If I have the Steam version of Amnesia: Dark Descent is it possible to receive a code for the App Store version? I'd like to have a copy from which I wouldn't have to use Steam on my laptop.

On a separate note, are the Penumbra games coming to the App Store eventually? It's good to see Frictional expanding their products to new audiences.

Ugh, I was so ridiculously excited upon seeing this. I've been wanting to play this game forever, so I just drove down to a store, bought an iTunes card only to realize that it says I can't download the game unless I have a Mac. Is there any other way I can get the game at its current discount price?

Bought it and super happy, but unfortunately it is completely unstable on my machine (13" Macbook Pro, Intel HD 3000, 2.7Ghz i7, 4g RAM). Perhaps it's because of the Intel card? The Steam version does not support the HD 3000, so I am thinking this is the issue. Please patch ASAP, so I can let this game consume some of my life!

I want to get this game on my iMac with OSX 10.6.2 and I don't want to upgrade beyond 10.6.2 due to the infamous graphics issues beyond that OS (anyone who owns a 2.16 or 2.33 iMac will know what I'm talking about... screen freeze after 10-15 minutes, every time). It has to do with the drivers in 10.6.3 and beyond, a very well documented issue... but that's another story.
Anyway, my iMac is finally running like a dream again after going backwards to 10.6.2, so I don't have the App Store. This has been asked I believe, but is there any way to get the special pricing to put it on this Mac if I don't have 10.6.6 and the App Store? Am I just gonna have to pay full price? Can I put it on my wife's Macbook with 10.6.8 and them flashdrive it over to my iMac?
The trial version runs like a dream on my iMac btw.

Saw the app in the Mac App Store selling for $4.99. From the reviews I read, the game seemed good. Tried to buy it but when I clicked the buy now button, the App Store seemed to take a long time to process and then the price CHANGED to $19.99. What happened?!? The sale was supposed to last til the 9th of April?
