RE: The library theme
Of course not! I'm making a serious custom story! And i'll try to make a good story too
But imagine this: You are sitting and playing my custom story, and you are in the library. What would you expect to happen in there?

RE: The library theme
Depends on how the library looks, is it dark or well lit? And the size is important, if its to big. It would be easy to dodge the monsters.

RE: The library theme
The library isn't that big. I'm not sure, if there should be any monsters...
The story is here:
The library will be kinda dark, but you'll still be able to see a little bit.
The music will be creepy. Right now I'm using the 12_amb

RE: The library theme
Map different rooms of the library. I would usually have two to three big rooms, which store bookshelves riddled with books (don't neatly stack em, I'd place variations of book_pile and book_row and separate, random books in them too. These big rooms would serve as a mix between book searching and studying, so place a few tables with candles on them.
In smaller rooms, you should go for a more private study feel, so add stove_corners to make it feel more cozy, and add armchairs, sofas, tables, etc.
I would add large hallways filled with paintings, sofas, armchairs, etc. that connect the main rooms together.
Place paintings on a lot of the walls, and chandelier_nice entities in the big rooms. And make sure you use point lights to add depth to the area.
I would add a few windowed rooms to add to the ambience.
Good luck!

RE: The library theme
Very nice details I will try bringing them to life in my own style Now if you entered this room, what would you be most aware of, when you think of scares/fear

RE: The library theme
I'd like to see atleast something scary in the library, maybe the wind blowing a door open and after that comes a grunt noise but there's really no grunt, it's just there to make you nervous.
Maybe there could be an abandoned part of the library, in wich there is a few candles lit but once you collide with an area it kills the lights with the well known killthelights script.
Another grunt noise after that makes it creepier as of what i experience.
Hi.
