RE: The decline of custom stories.

Actually, if you recall. I wasn't annoyed so much by the jumpscare things that much. It was the need that they needed 10> threads every 3-4 days being created. The only time I was upset with people talking about jumpscares is when this shitty forum decided that anyone who does a jumpscare (or pewdie map and so on) would be humiliated and mocked.

I'm glad that you changed your mind. But the post you made in this thread suggested that you were against it in the beginning. And that anyone who does it is wasting their time... which in turn was what you were doing for a good couple months. My main argument was that, no matter how much devotion you put into changing someone's mind...it will always stay the same. And pretty much exactly how I told everyone, nothing has changed at all. But you were one of the people that would flame me for stating my opinion, al beit in many, many posts. But I didn't know what you were upset about...I was only posting in the ones about how shitty custom stories are. You may of been sick of my posts i was making, but I was already sick of the threads people were making, and the fact that they didn't offer anything knew was extremely annoying.

e.g: ok guys when your making a custom story try to have atmosphere.
e.g 2: It is always vital to a custom story to have atmosphere.

I could go on but I'm not. You either misjudged me the whole time, or your missing the point.

seems legit..... This forum, downhill at fast speeds since 3 months ago
This thread is just complaining about them with not much advice, while the other threads gave actual advice.
lolwat? This thread is already saying the same thing as 100 others are.

I guess you didn't read what I wrote in the parenthesis? I said that I didn't read every single thread.

And out of the ones I did read, this one is different. This one says "lolno jump scares they ain't good" and there is no advice in it other than "don't put jump scares or die". The ones that I have read did say "NO JUMPSCARES (or said use very limited amount of them)", but they also gave advice, advice that has helped me. I'd rather see 100 threads of advice with the mention of no jumpscares rather than 100 threads with no advice that only say no jump scares. Advice is advice, and no matter how much it is repeated, it still is advice.

(WARNING: This is my opinion on something.) Also, this forum actually has changed my mind. I used to find jump scares scary, but after reading the threads about them, I realized that the fear only lasted for about 5 seconds afterwards. Especially playing a custom story, then it gets annoying to me. I start to then laugh at each jump "scare" as the numbers continuously increase every second. The original Amnesia, on the other hand, actually kept me on my toes the whole way through, and it even made me a bit paranoid for the few days after. (End of warning)

My final question is, if you find this a shitty forum, why do you keep coming back to it?

I am not going to reply anymore. No need for us to have an internet fight.

Just because it's shitty doesn't mean it's entirely uninteresting Tongue.

"I'd rather see 100 threads of advice" <--- What I'm annoyed at.

"Advice is advice, and no matter how much it is repeated, it still is advice."

While it may be advice, it's advice that you've already heard... so it's more of an annoyance...even a bit of cockiness when I hear it now. Before you say it's good for new users, I'll stop you right there. Because I can almost asure you that EVERY MEMBER (old or new) has seen one or more of these ridiculous threads.

And one more thing...saying it's advice isn't correct. It's merely an opinion, and opinion which this forum has led to be fact...which in no way, shape or form is.[/align]

Okay, I lied to you about not replying again. This will be my last post on this thread.

It seems like we both have very strong opinions on this, so we won't be changing each others minds. It was nice discussing this with you, especially since it is rare to find someone fighting so strongly for the other side.

You are right, whether we find the forum shitty or not, it is always pretty interesting. Big Grin
