<groan> Looks like jokes are as bad in your country as mine. Smile

I haven't started playing yet (morning conference call with India, sigh) but I anticipate being infected shortly.

A big thanks for not stepping in with the banhammer. We overstepped our bounds and I, for one, am sorry.

Now, as for Penumbra...well, medical difficulties have prevented my attending college this year, however in spite of all the free time I'll still be waiting until tonight to try it.
As with Overture, I find the atmosphere is much enhanced by sitting in a dark room, lights out and wearing a pair of headphones. More than once playing the demo I found myself glancing over my shoulder.

Good point. Maybe I will go to work after all and wait until the evening. Heh.

I'm always curious about the significance of the icon chosen to represent a game on desktop or start menu though, and it's the same now - I keep wondering what is up with the icon that appears to be some guy with a big beard and helmet. Time will tell!

Did you play the demo? From the intro sequence (fantastic artwork and voice acting btw, Frictional) it becomes apparent why such an icon was chosen. At least I think so.
I won't say anything in case you haven't seen it - I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise.

I'm very pleased with an apology from GG. Woot Big Grin

Shopping at Gamersgate is almost the easiest thing in the world. Just follow these instructions:
1. Buy
2. Download (if possible)
3. E-mail support@Gamersgate.com to figure out why your product isn't working!
4. Wait for a representative to respond.
5. Awaiting step 4 to be completed...

Why didn't you guys use this guy in Overture?
I think this Philip is better than the Overture's Philip.

RE: Penumbra: Black Plague Released!

we were pisspoor during the development of overture and Tom the writer was bold enough to step up as a volunteer for doing the voice. during black plague development we were only half pisspoor so we could afford a voice actor Wink
