Solved: 8 Years, 9 Months ago External HD monitor blurry

Hey there,

I have my late 2011 MBP plugged into an external 27" HD BENQ monitor via the mini dislplay port and the resolution settings at 1080p. Everything on my computer runs fine until i load up amnesia. I have the resolutions through the game set at 1920x1080 and as soon as i load up amnesia the whole screen goes blurry like it is set at 1080i so i quit and check and it is still set at 1080p?

Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated, it is really quite frustrating as i cant play the game in this resolution

Thank you!

Can you attach/paste the contents of your hpl.log file? It is located in your home folder under Library/Application Support/Frictional Games/Amnesia/Main

i think the resolution says 1920x1079 on the log because the last thing i tried was to make a custom setting where it wasnt exactly 1920x1080 but it still was blurry.

Have you tried adjusting the graphics quality settings? What about disabling certain effects in the advanced settings?

Also what version of Mac OS X are you running?

Yes it runs fine at a lower resolution in full screen but that is not ideal. From what i can gather, the game is automatically pushing it to 1080i because sometimes when i quit the game, my whole monitor is still blurry so i access to the system preferences and sure enough, its at 1080i.

Im running snow leopard 10.6.8

thanks for your time to reply by the way, i really appreciate it.
