Where did you put the ENT file and how are you trying to put it in the map? I know you said you can't find it through entities and that the folder doesn't show up entities, but that's ambiguous.

				I have it saved in
Amnesia The Dark Descent > redist > custom_stories > Practice Story > obstacles
and I tried putting it into Practice Story > entities > obstacles as well.

None of those will work, the editor won't read anything from your custom story folder, the path should be.
 redist/entities/practisestory/entities

The way you've done it doesn't actually have them in the entities folder.

In that case, aside from what Traggey said, you can place down a random entity, select it and click on "..." on the right to replace it with your own.

I wouldn't recommend this method over Traggey's though. Even though it's faster in some situations, if you close the map, and reopen it later to edit it some more, the map editor still won't be able to find the enitity if it's not in "resource range"

I'll try it and see how it works, but what should I do when sharing my custom story, then? Putting it in a folder like that worked last time (edited a grunt not to have sound and saved it in Practice Story > enemy), so I don't get why it doesn't work now.
