This sort of has happened before, except we were given quite the deadline.
Another reason these things don't happen too often is people usually just want to work on their own projects, which is entirely understandable.

For me, storyline is key to my progression and dedication to a game. Then make a story line in your maps xP Well that would work unless many of segments were so different, almost as if the were designed by. . . DIFFERENT PEOPLE!

Making a custom story with a good story in 2-3 maps is completely do-able. Isle, which in my mind has one of the best stories of any custom story out there, did it in about that many maps.

I don't mean the number of the maps; I'm talking about them being designed by different people, and don't now point out that there are at least one or two good custom "stories" like this. I am aware of this, it's just that without any understanding of anything the player may not really feel fear. "Okay, you're in a scary place with scary stuff. AND THEN A SKELETON POPPED OUT!!!"
I suppose randomly waking up in an unfamiliar place that unsettles you would be scary, in real life. Cause then you worry about getting back home, and your life and all those other wibley-wubley important stuffs.

RE: Community custom story.
The community around here is the least of what you'd expect an Amnesia modding community to be like, atleast judging by the way the game is presented these days.
Pretty much everyone here wants to see mods of the highest quality and they expect nothing else, projects like these which are not arranged by respected community members simply will not work out.
We're a demanding community, but rightfully so.

We're a demanding community, but rightfully so. Cause we obviously deserve the best. (I'm positive that the sarcasm from my statement only really applies to me, as I tend not to give much to the community. )

I know, I just like sarcasm too much to let any opportunity pass me by! This may be considered a problem.
