I don't exactly firmly believe in it, but it's always a theory.

I just thought of a problem that could arise when time traveling with the infinite worlds theory. If there really are multiple different versions of worlds which are decided at one time point, which one do you jump to if you travel? How can you be sure that you can jump back to the proper one? If time dimensions really work like this, wouldn't it be easier to simply hop to the "alternate dimension" you're trying to achieve rather than traveling back in time to fix it?

A possible explanation I can think for what I just pointed out is that time, and space run on different dimensions with time being the smaller one. In this case, time would normally be running a a "main", "canon" line with all the other dimension existing outside of it. When an action takes place, the corresponding action will snap onto the main line. If time travel is done, it will rearrange what dimensions are considered canon in the present timeline.

PS: Just so everyone knows, I have no idea what I'm talking about, and am pulling all this out of my ass.

If you went back in time and did something crazy, etc, etc, nothing would change when you came back. You had already done it because in the "past", let's say it was present. The people around you had already seen you. You had already done the actions that in the future, you said you were going to change. Nothing would be different when you went back to the present/future.

It may be confusing for some, but simply put, I believe the past is set in stone for what happens in the present/future. Nothing you do in the past will change the outcome of the present/future since, because in reality, you had already been there.

In my opinion, this "Butterfly Effect" theory is completely false.
I thought the same Wink .

I always found it funny how it goes from 2D = LxH, to 3D, LxWxH, to 4D TIME.

Alternate dimension(s) could explain that.
