There are some restricted events on that sitehttp://webcast.web.cern.ch/webcast/
Can someone explain if and how I can view restricted content(legally)?

After nearly 350 posts, this topic seemingly died down.
But yeah, this was a very good discussion none-the-less. Even if I was leading with 82 posts. The confusion was always at the max.

Thread being quiet for two days doesn't mean it's dead.

Considering how in a day you get lots of posts on a thread like this, then it suddenly stops, it feels like the topic, kind of, died.

I find it funny that our life's would be predetermined, being a religious view or not.
 Religious view:
If God gave humans free will (which basically means making own decisions), then why would He predetermine everybody's life. That would just turn over the whole point.

 Non-religious view:
I see a great difference when I jump into a car and drive on the wrong side of the highway without seat belt on, and then driving normally on my own side of the road with seat belt on.
Because as I see it, in the end, I always have the choice to make my own decision how to approach things.

Has nothing to do with time, but thought to share since it was mentioned.

The reason I mentioned the religious view point is because (assuming one subscribes to the belief of the Christian deity) God is all-knowing, so with that he supposedly knows every decision everyone will ever make, therefore it is predetermined. The power of free-will in such a scenario is just an illusion.

It's not predetermined, but we do have quite a bit of control over it (at least the future concerning ourselves) as you pointed out with your car-scenario.
