Problems with DVD-RW Reinstallation

I uninstalled PBP, because my original install had a few bugs in it. I am trying to reinstall it, but for some reason, my DVD-RW player won't get it going enough. It starts/revs up, but then stops.
I used Auto Install and also tried through My Computer, install the EXE file.
Still nothing.

One message that comes is that I am missing a file called:
SDL.dll

I updated my Drivers. Still nothing.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks, I really want to play it again.

RE: Problems with DVD-RW Reinstallation

If SDL is missing then the exe is run from the wrong place or the the installation is corrupt.

Thanks Thomas. Knowing I was in the wrong place and/or the installation was corrupt, made me try other methods. I tried installing through Quick Play and Windows Media Player-- of course they didn't work. I piddled around for a few hours, changing settings, and looking on my computer for an answer.
I really don't know what I did exactly, but my PBP Game loaded today.
So, I am replaying.

RE: Problems with DVD-RW Reinstallation

I have more info on my DVD-RW/Game player problems.
Since I have to put the CD Game disc in, everytime I want to play, it has been O.K., but I did get more errors messages:

"Exception Processing Message Ox0000013 Parameters Ox7653023C
Ox855090BC Ox7653023C Ox7653023C"

After retrying, my Game did get going again.

Then another time, no go, and I got this message:
PDX2707EU
"Please Insert the original disk instead of a back up. See
www(dot)securom.com/no orig found
I did not click on the www address.

I just tried again and again, and the Disc/Game started.

Thanks for any help.

NO, I couldn't use the Media Player, I just tried too because of all my problems trying to get my PBP CD to load. I am using the Original PBP CD, from a box. I bought it at Best Buy. My DVD-RW player could be defective.
