Mirror's Edge 2

Mirror’s Edge 2 has been rumored to be in development at DICE for quite some time now, however DICE is still yet to confirm or deny the game’s existence. Now a Swedish developer has come out and stated that the game is in development at the studio.

Ben Cousins, general manager of Ngmoco Sweden and former executive producer of the Battlefield franchise hastweeted saying that Mirror’s Edge 2 is indeed in development at DICE and that it’s common knowledge in the Swedish gaming community.

“It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror’s Edge 2 is in production at DICE,” he said in response to an article by Eurogamer about DICE not wanting to get bogged down as a Battlefield factory, in which the developer revealed that it is working on other games.

making a sequel now while the game was released like 1 year before or 2 isn't really normal.

I hope they release it. I loved the first one , even though it was flawed in many areas, and would love to see what they'd be up to next. Who knows, maby they make a multiplayer mode for it?

EA stated they are only going to produce and fund games if they contain multiplayer. No longer will they fund single-player only games. So hearing this is coming out, knowing multiplayer is involved, I'm quite excited! I hope they still keep it in a city like this one, or even the same city, because the visuals were what made me fall in love with the franchise in the first place. Then I played it, and gameplay was smooth and a unique experience. If they include multiplayer such as: Tag, Jailbreak (similar to tag, but more features), Capture the Runnerbag, Versus Time Trials, Freestyle (let the players run around a playground for unlimited time, no challenges)... I will have to buy it... Hehe. =]

This excites me. It's so good to hear they are doing more than just Battlefield, and want to keep it that way. Oooooooooh boy! <3

If they include multiplayer, I really hope they allow you to create your own character. =X

But yeah, I imagine Knockout Tag (gotta tag others within a certain time limit. Person who is it when the counter is down gets knocked out, and it selects a new player next)

I really hope they don't just keep it Time Trials.

I loved the first game as well, the music, the scenery, the everything.

If there is a second game coming around, I'll check this one out.

If this is absolutely true, I am going to scream.

I friggin' LOVED the original game. The graphics are pretty as hell, the gameplay took a while to get used to, but was fun to play once you DID get used to it, and the story, although weaker than it could be, was interesting.

Statyk has also got me pretty interested as well. Multiplayer on Mirror's Edge would be fun as hell!
