Hi.
I was wondering if it's ok to use ad.fly as a link to my custom stories?

Also, is ad.fly safe? You know, usually i don't really care what ads that are surrounding my screen. I never look at them. But is it ok to put out your bank account the ad.fly?

While there's no explicit rule against it, i'd end up replacing it with a direct link anyway.

Depends on how many people you expect to click the link... A quick visit to adf.ly tells me you get ~4-5€ for 1000 clicks. Is that a fortune that makes it worth to annoy potential fans ofyour Custom Stories? And how many of them will just spontaneously close the tab upon seeing a ton of ads, assuming it's just a spam link you gave them? I don't know, but that's the kinds of answers I would ask myself, I guess. Smile

But i did get about 4000 downloads on ModDB.. still that's moddb.

Well it was just a friend telling me that i could earn money on this.

"Dude, with all the effort you put on it, why don't you get paid?"
And I answer:
"Because if I had to get paid, I would have to pay the Amnesia assets used for the CS, I would have to pay to the modelling program I use and I would have to pay a lot of people."

I hate adf.ly links, sincerely. So, my suggestion:
Normal download, no adf.ly things, pls.

imo, include both (normal + adfly). If that particular downloader is feeling generous or they liked the story and feel it was well made, they can easily go back and click the ad fly link to help encourage/support you for future modding endeavors.

No downside to that.
