Have you even played an RPG since the 90s? Story is the foundation of RPGs. It's even implied in the title: Role-playing game. How can you play a role if there is no role to be played?

Yeah, but there is really no role in Dark Souls. And nah I've never played any NES RPG game, I've only played PC RPG's tbh.

I would throw myself into this discussion but then I realize I've said all I wanted to say a few pages back anyway.

Bamping this thread 'cuz I'm playing the original Star Ocean on the SNES right now and it's a pretty decent game.

Does anyone know if TES: Arena and Daggerfall are worth playing?

Only if you're curious, sure they are kinda fun but they are not on the same level as the rest of the elderscrolls games, except maybe daggerfall. They are free so you have nothing to lose.
Be prepared though, daggerfall is FILLED with bugs.
