Game crashing after a while

Hi.

When I'm trying to play the game for more than 3-4 minutes or so, I get artifacts all over the screen and then my computer crashes...

I only have another game on this computer and it's Oblivion, I can play that perfectly fine for hours without problems, so I'm pretty sure my GPU's fine.

I'm on a Athlon64 3200+ with 1GB RAM and a 8800GT.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try updating your graphic card drivers!

Sounds like the graphics card is running hot, penumbra is known to make graphics card go quite hot. You could open the computer and take a look at the 8800 and see if it might need a bit of cleaning to remove all the dust.
