He was the CEO of EA, and the reason he gets so much hate is because he's a massive fucking hypocrite.

A few years ago he was the man that seemed genuinely remorseful for the companies mistakes, even admitting that they screwed up with for example Bullfrog, and then went on to say that video game companies charge too much for video games.

Then EA goes ahead, and repeats what it has done with companies like Maxis, Bullfrog and others, with Bioware, Visceral and other game developers, and basically kills them off with EA's incompetence.

And proceeds, after saying that video game companies charge too much money(the 60 dollar mark) for games...keeps charging 60 dollars for their shitty games.

Simcity and CoD anyone?

This video will pretty much get you informed as to why people despise EA and John Riccitello or however you spell his name Why do people hate EA?

You may have seen it already if you regularly visit the escapist magazine

Hopefully the new CEO can raise the reputation for the company instead of making it infamous. First thing to do would be to remove SimCity's outrageous DRM if that's even feasible.

I really didn't hate him but when he entered micro transactions in dead space 3 something snapped.
