RE: hunt
Should never be allowed for sport.
Basically, I only think its morally right if you count yourself as an animal within the habitat/survival situations.

I'm glad you're not in charge, depriving people of something they have every right to do based on something as meaningless as morals.

RE: hunt
Actually, Bridge, I'm not that much of a fan of hunting myself, unless you do it for survival. It might be because I'm not well-informed, either. What are the recreational benefits of hunting?

RE: hunt
Quote: what peta??
PETA is People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. While that sounds nice, they are a vegan organization that is completely against all human treatment and killing of animals, regardless of any negative effects that would have to humanity. They are more evil than EA, and may or may not have ties to terrorist activity, depending on which news source you believe. List of "crimes":
-Targets young children with violent propaganda, even going so far as to intercept young children at school in an attempt to subvert parents and brainwash the kids.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/petas-thanksgiv...U0JaMramtA
-Hiring models to do stupid shit on public streets. This one isn't so bad, except it seems to almost be only reason for PETA's existing. You can find lots of youtube videos.
-Euthanizing animals that are donated to them with the intent of having a loving home, turns out PETA isn't a saint after all, they actually had to reveal in a court case that they Euthanize most animals that are donated to them by owners who think they are going to good homes.

I'd post more, but my internet is being crushed from all of the surfing I'm doing right now. But they are bad shit.

RE: hunt
Well, we can't stop hunting, and it's stupid to say that we should. Humans have allways hunted, we've done it for thousands of years. And if we were to stop what meat would we eat? Only cows, pigs and sheep? Plus cityfolk don't seem to get that hunting is important to maintaining a productive farm. If we don't hunt certain populations of animals (hare, deer, boar) will grow explosively, outnumber and endanger other populations of animals and also reduce and damage the farms crops. That and we also need to maintain a reasonable level of predators (foxes, wolves) to make sure that they aren't too big of a threat to farm-animals like chiken and sheep and also our dogs and cats. So hunting is an essential part of mantaining a healthy and productive society. But why not hunt with friends? It's sort of a social activity and it has been that for all our history. But of course we need to have regulations for what we hunt. You can't hunt all that you want, some people can't handle that. It's regulated to where it gives the animals a fair chance of survival and still making sure that they can't do too much damage.
Socialism (noun): A great way to run out of other people's money.
