Not a fan of Enter Shikari as a whole but they have some really great songs for energy.

I also have a soft spot for this band, they were just so catchy. The keyboardist is quite hilarious Tongue

Yes there's a lot of shitty cookie cutter dance electronica, but there's also just as much interesting, experimental, ambient etc electronica, and a lot of the time that stuff takes more talent to make than a lot of music that requires a whole band. And don't even try to use the whole "you just push buttons it takes no talent" argument. You could say playing guitar takes no talent cause you just strum strings or that drumming takes no talent cause you just hit things with sticks with that logic, which is just stupid.

Just... Thank you. I don't understand how people think making electronica is eeasy peesy. And if you think so, you're probably listening to such "mainstream"/cookie cutter electronica. You have to go looking for the good stuff. Monstercat and MrSuicideSheep play a lot of underrated artists who do a fantastic job in the electronic music department. I personally would listen to Electronic music over most instrumental/rock/etc (though when I'm not listening to electronic, I'm usually listening to Poets of the Fall). It gets me in a good mood, relaxes, and is nice BGM for whatever I'm doing throughout my day. If you don't like it, that's fine, just understand it does INDEED take the same amount of knowledge and skill of knowing how to play an instrument, don't be ignorant. The technology and interface incorporated into making electronica music makes my head spin... But I am not intimidated by an instrument enough to not try it.

Some Examples of my favorites:
(Trance - Ephixia)

(EDM/Disco, artist sounds MUCH like Daft Punk - Televisor) This one is my good mood song.

(Trance - Above & Beyond, Owsey Remix)

(DnB? - Adventure Club) Beautiful voice <3

(Electro - Uppermost) Another "good mood" song.

What? Disturbed? Sorry, but I love them. Super terrible isn't the word, they are just different. Godsmack is cool when you feel energetic, Disturbed... well, at any time.

I can agree that Linkin Park has gone down, but I must accept that they made good things at the beggining.

Even MTV has become a useless crap lately.

And when I said repetitive lyrics I was talking about songs like Bieber's Baby.

I would like to talk about music but it would be a long ass conversation.

well, then is is so bad to say i only listen to bands (or persons in most cases) that can use a damn computer?
(use a computer to make good (in my opinion) music that is)

Tell me an artist/band so I can see what are you talking about
For basic's almost all forms of dubstep. Skrillex, Nero, Deadmau5. ECT.

Fun fact, the large majority of people who claim to be fans of dubstep and people who hate it haven't even heard of Burial!

RE: Love for bad music

I really love music, it's what keeps me on every day.

I am like Kman, I like to always discover new things regardless of the genre, I listen to a various gradient and variety of genres (From ambient music to progressive metal, from hip hop to reggae, from post rock to psychedelic rock, from dubstep to psytrance/downtempo)

In fact I am into an italian facebook community of people around my age that like to search for new stuff to listen to.

To get my facts straight, let's bust some myths which I think they're absolute bullshit, plus more general complaints/rants.

"Music is way better the older times!"
The fact that worst music is advertised today it doesn't mean people stopped producing good music. In fact in the mainstream there is some good music too today, just it's harder to find it in the mainstream world. But as it's been produced shit today, it's been produced shit in the past too, one can't deny that.

"Music with instruments got da F33LINGZ, electronic music is computer generated music that has no feelings!"
OMFG, these kind of people make me go nuts. Sound is made out by audio frequences. Electronic music has melody such as instrumental music, just because it's produced digitally it doesn't mean it isn't true. That's a close-minded stereotype from people who are generally R0CKz0r fans, the kids that generally are the ones who watch "school of rock".

"Metal is better than rap/hip hop"
That's not true, but the fact that "rap/hip hop is better than metal" is not true either. You see, these are musical genres, NOT fucking teams! if you're gonna argue over a fucking genre dividing by teams please don't involve the music on it. It's stupid, ignorant and close-minded. I myself like more Metal music, but before you rap/hip-hop fans rant on me I know Immortal Technique (thx sproggie), guru, 2pac, Wu-Tang clan, cypress hill etc. I just like the way metal genre expresses feelings better.
And yeah, can't stand people who say they like rap and know only the mainstream artists, in italy we have so many junkies of 'em.... but yeah i'm trying to have respect anyway.

"Justin Bieber has got a bad voice?" (i'm gonna get so many rants here -.-')
Justin Bieber hasn't got a bad voice. The thing that makes me angry of his fandom and the industry is that he is just a puppet, and I think every sane person of this forum knows it. 1D and JB's (pretty banal imo) lyrics are made only to attract young girls and buy their albums so that the houses get loads of money using JB and 1D's physical attraction. But Justin Bieber hasn't got a bad voice, but the poppy style THEY make him sing in........... dude.

"Post-rock is only for people who can't properly play an instrument"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hu0kGvKujCg is all i've got to say. And yeah it isn't true by the way. (lol rhyme).

Lol yeah that's pretty much the most basic things I have to say.
Oh and I'm really loving Tool right now. Their genre is Psychedelic Metal, progressive and alternative metal. They express their feelings deep inside their songs, and their lyrics are something unbelievable. ...... Whole band is awesome.

Here is something I really really like:

(posted at the "post-rock" section)

^Tool - Lateralus^

And every other opeth album of course.

"Love story between metal and electronic"

And many other stuff I can't really make em fit here.
I hope I haven't offended anybody and soz 4 bad eenglessh

Yeah, I would not call Disturbed or Godsmack super terrible. I mean have you heard Godsmacks accustic album: The Other Side? And Disturbeds Ten Thousand Fists has some really good songs on it.

I have recently started listening to industrial metal from Haparanda: Raubtier. Eventhough the music isn't even near beautiful I still love them, and being a swede I understand their awesome lyrics. They have a very different style in lyrics and if you'd just read them you'd be laughing because they'd come across as a wee bit silly but with the music they're kick-ass.
