No Save Option?

Hey, can you help me? I just downloaded a full conversion mod for Amnesia, and now when I play the actual game (or custom story for that matter) and press escape, only 3 options show up: 'back to game', 'options' and 'exit', but no 'save and exit'. How do I get the save option back?

Go to Documents/Amnesia/<full conversion name>/ and open main_settings.cfg for editing in a plain text editor. Make sure that ExitMenuDirectly equals "false" and save the changes. Then restart the game.

Do note, though, that there is no guarantee that the custom story will continue to function properly by saving your progress and loading it.

Thanks, but I tried it, and even though ExitMenuDirectly equals false, the in-game save option still is not there. Any other suggestions?

What full conversion are you playing? 'Cause if what we're really talking about is Justine, then you'll never get a "Save and Exit" feature.

What main_init file did you use? If you use the ptest one then no wonder you can't save. ptest is Justine and Justine cannot save progress.

Even though Justine has it's own main_init.cfg, it references the same default_main_settings.cfg as TDD.

It is not Justine, it is the main game as well as all of my downloaded custom stories that don't have the "save and exit' button.

Try deleting Documents/Amnesia/Main/main_settings.cfg and restart the game.

Delete the whole file 'main_settings'? And how would I restart the game? (I'm sorry, I'm not that good at this sort of thing...)

Don't worry, when you restart the game it will create that file again.
