Because as a games student I care about that stuff, I give zero fudges for movies.

yeah there really isn't any good justification for the whole paying to play old games thing though other than them wanting a few extra bucks

Developers will be able to choose wether they want their customers to be able to purchase the game used or not, keep that in mind.

Also, when buying a used game the developer gains NOTHING from it, it's a straight out rip-off, if you want to play a game, support the developer.

The person who initially owned the game already paid the asking price from the developer. The developer got their money from 1 product. When someone sells the game to someone else to make back the money they paid, why should the developer be paid twice for one product? It's essentially like the second person bought the game. But now they would have to buy it twice.

This is unfair. Plain and simple. Whether they still have the ability to do so or not, it's a greedy idea.

that's like saying if you let someone borrow your jacket they'd have to pay the clothing company for it too since they're using it which is just lol

What Mine Turtle posted earilier is not only too flashy in my opinion, it's probably too costly to mass produce a design like that. It'd be hard to fit it in proper locations. Mine Turtle's example is just awkward...

Things I don't like so far from what I've heard/read:
1) The pay to use old games crap... Gotta love the greedy companies getting into the game industry.
2) The NAME. When I hear Xbox One, I think of the first, original Xbox. Just... why?
3) What is the purpose of "Television" on your xbox? That's such a waste of time, which they could've spent elsewhere on the console.
4) Still has subscription-based online play. $60 for a year and such. I think Microsoft is the only one doing this...

Things I DO like:
1) Improved Kinect, even though no one really uses it.
2) The design. Very sleek, and can fit most rooms, design-wise. Reminds me a lot of my laptop.
3) Better xbox really.

I've never really been a fan of Playstation because its controllers are the most uncomfortable ones I've ever used. I liked some of its games, but I like more of Xbox's. I'm mostly a PC person, but I'd take Xbox over a Playstation any day =\

RE: Xbox one

Yeah honestly, I predict the biggest flop in gaming history. If Microsoft didn't have so much money already they would probably be at serious risk of bankruptcy right about now. Then of course there's the possibility that this will be the new hot thing that everyone buys despite the fact that it sucks. Here's hoping that the former will come to pass.

RE: Xbox one

unfortunately this is going to most likely sell a shit ton since the xbox has made a household name for itself and it's more important for people to be able to say they have the new xbox then having the best gaming platform

they could seriously rerelease the original xbox and as long as they slapped the title "the new xbox!!!" on it it would sell like crazy
