I have no prior experience working on projects but I like to think I am a composer of modest skill. Been writing music for around five years now but unfortunately most of my "respectable" compositions are in MIDI format and will take a lot of time to turn into listenable recordings so I've been making a few general-purpose samples the past few days to "showcase" what I can do so to speak. Nothing spectacular at all, just some short "themes".

The second sample is kind of reminiscent of chase music but it sounds more like boss music in a Zelda game (you get the general idea though).

As a bonus you can listen to a work-in-progress of a cello sonata I'm writing though the soundfont I used to render it has a bad habit of producing a crackling sound whenever strings are playing pizzicato, so it might be slightly annoying in some spots.

I prefer to work with acoustic instruments but I can do electronic stuff too if that's what you want. If anyone's curious I'm using Reason 5 and most of these samples are from the Orkester sound bank (which with a little reverb sounds amazingly realistic IMO).

If you want me to write music for your CS just drop me a PM. I don't want to place any arbitrary filters on possible applications but I think it's fair to expect that work on the project has at least begun (preferably that it be well into the development stages) and that everyone involved is fully serious about making it.

Look forward to hearing from you.

P.S. What do you guys think about the samples? I am quite happy with how they turned out, considering what they are.

Would you like to make a background music for me?
If you do thanks i will credit you for it. [ofcourse Wink]

RE: Music for custom stories

Just finished writing the main menu theme to Amn's CS Riukka.

https://soundcloud.com/bridgethemasterbu...menu-theme

I used better sounding samples this time around but they have one fatal drawback which is that the samples for all non-string instruments are non-sustainable. So the ending isn't quite like I had envisioned it but thankfully it still mostly works. There is some cool polytonal stuff going on in the ending, though to be fair it is essentially just one sustained polychord (F, A and C#m) with the bass clarinet playing an arpeggio containing all of the chord tones. Overall I'm quite happy with it though there are some minor balance issues that I tried to iron out to the best of my ability. Hope you guys enjoy.

Can I request one thing? It's like a soap opera music. Like the one in the AAMFP Halloween Trailer that goes like "EEEEEEEAAAA"

Perhaps, but even the best vocal samples sound a little fake, because our sensitivity toward them is relatively speaking quite high. I just got a sample library that has some choral stuff and presumably solo singers; it's supposed to be quite high quality so there is a chance I could produce something listenable for you. Anyway, could you PM me the details?

It was Timorem.

Timorem was the team, I was talking of the mod that was in development and ultimately discontinued. Meh. You guys will get another massive scale mod soon anyway.
