Cut Scenes

I'm not seing any cutscenes right now.
I just get a flash of white light and the game continues on. I don't get any strting movie, either. I see the prologue written on the screen, then it flashes to the 'Frictional' screen.
I am assuming there are cutscenes when I use the artifacts that I am missing?

I'm not at home, so I can't give any specs or techincal information, but I thought I'd test the waters and see if anyone knew of an obvious fix.

It seems like you have two problems?
1) There is something strange when game starts up. If so, I am not sure what you mean. Please give more information.
2) The white light never goes away after you have saved.

If am mistaken somehow, please give more information.
