second chapter of amnesia: horror game of the year or not ?

Better a short good game without filler levels than a game where you think "when will it finally end?". The playtime is not meaningful as long the game is good.

But seriously, no fighting is a GREAT thing! I can't possibly understand how you think that's a "terrible news".

I personally feel like we don't need a demo in addition, since that would perhaps give out too many spoilers already. I do agree that it would be good for testing whether you can run the game or not, though.

System requirements are naturally going to be higher since this game is coming out in 2013, not 2010. With a whole new developer team behind it, they're surely going to make the game more system intensive with all the new graphical improvements.

I'm pretty sure that I'll be happier if there won't be any DLCs. I'd rather get the whole thing right now. It's what the game was meant to be, one whole new game.

I'm also not aware of any necessarily friendly NPCs. Neither do I know what you mean by "new chapter". I'm guessing "new campaign" or "new story".

A:TDD was more or less that long (at least the good stretch of it was before it degenerated to meh) and everything else in the list is inconsequential.

Want custom stories? Keep downloading and playing them on A:TDD.

No fighting? It was horrible in Overture...

Lack of a little episode like Justine is a bit disappointing but oh well.

A lot of true horror games are about 6-7 hours. TDD was about that long, Silent Hill 2 was about that long, Spec Ops: The Line was about that long, and all of the have been fantastic horror titles.

I'm pretty picky ... for a game that has been expected for 2-3 years I would have hoped for something more ..

This isn't a friggen RPG. You won't be spending 90 hours searching for collectables. It's a story driven game with horror aspects. AND it's only $20. I see people spend $60 on games that are just as long, only to have them sit on a shelf or be resold for $10. $20 for a game that will forever be in our memories is perfect.

I personally would want a longer horror game. As long as its not long for the sake of being long, I.E the writing stays sharp and on point, the level design and atmosphere are never compromised ect ect.
It is my believe that can be done, just because some good horror games don't doesn't mean it can't.
