A Machine For Pigs was also much better than The Dark Descent imo.

To say AMFP was better than TDD is to say that you've never played TDD at all.

Or he played TDD and it is his personal opinion. Also you say that it would be unrealistic, that there is no sanity-meter in aamfp, because you can't see the fear of Oswald. In this case every horror game is unrealistic, because no other game has this feature (afaik). And they are all unrealistic, because they are just games (mercifully Smile ).

Ah see your point. But it was a key feature in the original Amnesia that Daniel was afraid, and a normal guy who could be overcome by said fears. Taking it away just kinda make it seem like Oswald is a tank or something.

You could also interpret the absence of a sanity meter in A:AMFP to mean that Oswald is completely nuts from the start of the game. There are still "insanity moments" in the game after all.

How can people be so blind? Wandering through the game without eyes, without ears.

AAMFP is truely a 9-10!
Just because of the story it is a new born masterpiece people should remember.
And at the end the game becomes even scarier than The Dark Descent!
I doesn't miss the sanity system and inventory - in contrary. AAMFP plays better without breaks or "screen effects".

Why are people so disappointed? I now played more than 8 hours and even doesn't finish the game.
It's not shorter than TDD, it's a game what most of rich people today should have played.

It actually IS a lot shorter than TDD...like it literally is, there is not as much in game time as TDD. TDD takes about 7-9 hours to complete on average, and AMFP takes about 3-5 hours to complete... it's kind obvious that TDD is much longer.

You must either be getting stuck on the puzzles a-lot, getting lost, or are sneaking through every single part of the game if you've been playing for 8 hours and have yet to beat it.

And the story was hardly a masterpiece...

Ah guess that's a cool way to think of it

They removed everything that made Amnesia, Amnesia. Now it's virtually Dear Esther with Amnesia slapped in the title.
What do you know, The Chinese Room has made another flop. Working with them was a HUGE mistake and I hope Frictional Games doesn't do it again.

What do you mean with another flop? They sold over 750.000 copies of Dear Esther, I wouldn't call this a flop.

It made money, yes. But the game itself was a flop. Dear Esther was "Walking Simulator 2012", and Amnesia: A Machine for pigs is "Walking Simulator 2013".

You aren't criticizing anything, you are just a whining idiot who thinks original Amnesia was all about oil, throwing stuff, inventory and bloody sanity meter. But by all means, please continue to post here, I actually like that your kind of people dislikes this game.
