Solved: 10 Years, 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago Machine for Pigs. Gates 20 minutes in will NOT open!

The gates that are supposed to open after releasing the valve in the hidden bathroom room will not open. I thought maybe it was my save file so I restarted the game. That did not work. Should I reinstall? Do other people have this problem?
