The Soundtrack is simply amazing and one of the (few) things that keeps me playing because it is just so damn atmospheric.
It's not just the music though, but all the sounds. The rumbling of the various machines, the pigs shuffling about, screaming or sniffing the air, faint crying, footsteps.

I enjoy this just as much as the OST to the various Silent Hill games.
My favorite tracks have to be "The Children" and "The New Century". The last one even reminds me faintly of Fable. Smile

The ambient sound in MFP was outstanding, easily up to the TDD standard.

I'd personally say it was better than TDD, the music, sound and voice acting of this game were vastly on another level imo.

The music really connects with story very well, if you open the drawer with the glasses and teeth at the right time with the music it gives that classic atmospheric terror that draw dropping, the right time might be different for other people though, for me it was at the part where she deepens her voice.(Mors Praematura, in the office room)

Mors praematura
One who dies before his time

Plagam mortiferam infligere
Violent murder

Abiit ad patres
He has gone to the fathers

Mens rea
Guilty mind

Mundus vult decipi
The world wants to be deceived

Momento mori
Remember you must die

Actually, Mors Praematura means "premature death".

Premature (adj.)- occurring, coming, or done too soon
So yeah, it could / does mean one who dies before his/their time. Premature death, and one who dies before their time, basically has the same meaning.

I agree - there have been many criticisms aimed at AMFP but I have yet to read anything that criticises the superb music, sound or voice acting.

Well, you know the adage... "Behind every great man [Dan] there's an even greater woman [Jessica]".
