Hey guys, can I make a confession?

Remember those short stories people were constantly posting here in Off-Topic? When they started tame and then got into more sexual "fifty shades of grey" parody territory, I was getting annoyed by these short stories since there was so many in Off-Topic and I wanted something to be done about them.

I asked you guys here if we could have a separate megathread or subforum for community made fan short stories because the short stories were clogging up the front page of Off-Topic, but it got locked. Then I took action and made a short story megathread where it was unsuccessful, and also got locked.

In the end the Fifty Shades of Orb short stories was going around and I decided to make my own quick short story parody, Fifty Dollars of Porn IV: Writers Block. To be honest, I didn't really write that up for fun, I wanted to show how ridiculous I thought the short story craze was getting and eventually my thread became the final nail in the coffin for the craze after Traggey yet again, locked my thread.

Somehow, I don't know how to feel, I got what I wanted by stopping the short stories clogging Off-Topic, but also I think because of my short story thread, it removed a lot of creative stories from the front pages of Off-Topic that I wish I could've read into more of them if they were given a more appropriate space or place to be read in.

Just thought I'd reflect on some old forum memories, and express my true thoughts during and after the old craze.
