Macbook Pros last fairly long from what I've heard. However, they are clearly also the most expensive type of laptops. I was at a Best Buy's the other day and saw a 13 inch 2.3 GHZ 4 GB RAM no retina display macbook pro cost $1399

Don't get a Toshiba, especially not for gaming. They overheat instantly.

HPs r ok, I owned one before and it lasted quite long
