Again, sad to see you going, I hope you'll find better company than these forums, because let's face it, there's no reason to invest yourself in a community which as of late is built on people fueling each other's problems instead of taking care of them professionally.

Oh, you know, maybe because we're not everybody's personal therapist? I mean, Dogfood and many others have already tried to help(show compassion, advice, etc.), but obviously it's not working.

You basically proved my point, it's an incredibly bad idea to open up personally on a public forum, and to expect people you don't know to give a shoe is naive and clueless.

Dealing with people with depression or other issues deeply engraved is a hard task and often being compassionate and giving advice is not enough, trust me I've had to deal with depressed friends and I've had second hand experiences with alcoholics, it's not fun.

And that's why I continuingly make point that opening up on forums is an unfavourable action, if not for others but for yourself, find professional help instead of imagining that you can somehow get help at a forum with people well under 20 years old, this is not to come across as an insult but to bring up the fact that most people under 20 haven't dealt with their own problems to begin with and are certainly not ready to deal with people with similar problems.

Things like this don't need to happen, but this forum have become a place for people to vent their deepest personal issues and stuff like this often happen when people do that and it worries me that it's the way the forums are heading.

While I think all you guys mean well in your opinions about opening up on a public forum and stuff etc, but whether you're for or against that factor, I feel you should always give as much support as possible to someone - whether you feel it is necessary or not.

I've hung out and socialised with some amazing and different crowds, some emotional, some cheerful, others were drags to the mood, others brought light into other souls. I'm proud to have prevented a suicide or two over my life because although a lot of things they might say are true, being caught up in emotions is not the way to live and discussion, I would promote. That page I made a while back which I asked to be taken down now (it's resolved now), I did that out of full courage I would get some help not just from the forum, but from my counsellor, my now ex-girlfriend and someone I met overseas. While I think it is fair to say not to open up on the forum, sometimes we can develop a trusting bond between us. I regard everyone who I speak to as a friend or someone I can talk to in the least.

Bottom line, whether you feel it's appropriate or not, just try to support people in their time of need. Whether they are attention seeking or not, you could at least show you have some care for that person. I believe a lot of the members here care about me primarily for how commonly I am on here and how I do my best to support either through just general development support to topics like this.

First it was for my lip, and then my ears and then my hip and teeth and i have 2 operations left, probably for my feet and lip
