I forgot what year Justine takes place in.. shortly after TDD, right?
I'm not really sure if they're that different in class though.

I agree with Behemoth that the castle was built way before the game takes place.
I remember reading about the character Agrippa is based on, he was from 16something I think, and of course Alexander is several centuries of age as well.
