Can Someone Help please?

I just bought Penumbra pack on steam 2 days ago and every time i try to play the games it freezes right after loading.sometimes it locks my computer so i cant push crtl+alt+del and im forced to restart,
i can play the tut fine but up until you have to learn to sneak it then turns black then freezes.

running:WindowsXP Service pack 2-32bit
1.60GHZ i know its low im using temp comp...
1gig ram

Your card cannot compile the shaders. Either something is worng with your graphics card or your drivers needs to be updated.

What graphics card are you using?

its a laptop,and im getting a new one...
but when i used a program to give my game space for ram it ran fine but it froze before i could play the game.i have 1gig ram and i dont really think the graphics are that great on this computer..
