penumbra crashes

Well, I think that there are some threads for this, but I just wanted know why penumbra black plague demo is crashing after intro. I have Geforce 4 Ti 4200 video card and my machine meets requirements. I have reinstalled it and have downloaded drivers lately.

Post the hpl.log file that is in My Documents/Penumbra/Black Plague.

It sounds as though there is a problem with the driver, did you uninstall the old driver, restart the computer and then install the new driver?

I just uninstalled old drivers and then I reboot it. Then I changed the video card and then installed new drivers( and then reboot). What about the patches ? Will they help me ?

Go to options/graphics and turn off the following:
Bloom
Depth of Field
Refraction
Motion Blur

Restart game and see if that helps.

It seems not working but need I also turn off Post Effects (it includes to the motion blur) ?

yes, try turning off Post Effects too and see if that helps.

Unfortunately it doesn´t helped. I also tried to set the texture quality lower or turn off noisefilter etc... Maybe it will be a driver problem. But, in Black Plague it only gives a black screen but in overture it will give the "opening picture" but then it will still crash. Hope someone can solve this.

I figured out the problem: just updated drivers. But now, what you think, can I turn e. g. Bloom or refractions on ?
