I haven't played Requiem properly yet, but from what I hear it's not very good because it's not like the other two games.. this does put me off a bit.. because the story of the other two was so intriguing it just had me hooked, probably the best story in a game that I have ever played. It's a disappointment for me to hear that Requiem doesn't follow the same plot line.. they could have made another game that would have sold like crazy I reckon.. ah well.

The problem for me with Requiem is that it simply isn't scary. By the second level, I was running around with the flashlight on, only worrying about the puzzles (which didn't make much sense) since I'd realized that pretty much the only thing that could kill me was a long drop. It didn't feel like a Penumbra game. Like the puzzles, any plot was largely just disconnected bits and pieces.
