Cubemap not showing up in Level Editor?

I finally get Gimp to work and I made a CubeMap according to the Tutorial available on the CGtextures website. Yet even though I followed each step precisely and went over each part of the cubmap 3-4 times, It does not show up in the menu when I try to import (or whatever its called) it into the Level Editor for use......and Ideas?

Upload your cubemap. I'll see if I can recreate or fix the problem on my end.

Okay, I think I know what the problem is (what I state below is not the problem, but should be fixed). Did you make or download this skybox from somewhere in particular? Also, did you edit it a certain way (other than in GIMP, I mean, something like, resizing or cropping).

In simple, one problem is the sizing of the "long" image.

The solid black lines, are 256*256 pixels. The image isn't a simple "move this over a few pixels" to fix though. Some of them are stretched and others are too short.

I got the original picture from CgTextures (seems to be the only place you can get panoramas) and really the only resizing I did was making it smaller to match the the size of 1536x256. To be honest the tutorial wasn't very clear on what to do, on making everything the right size.

Yeah, I'm going to rewrite or make a proper tutorial sooner or later. The wiki's images are broken.
I'll see if I can get the original Skybox to work.

Alright, well untill then, do you know of a video on youtube that can give a better explanation on how to get the CubeMap to register with the level editor?

I'll make a tutorial (unless Mudbill beats me to it). Till then, maybe you can make use of this skybox? I couldn't do any resizing or what-not about the original one since I am not paying $30 for it, and can't make a skybox out of a preview.

Spoiler below!

In Level Editor:

Unless you forget to block a hole in the floor or something, the player won't see the gray, and will likely not see the 'ocean' aspect if you can keep obstacles from blocking the horizon.

For future reference, I got the Skybox texture from here: http://www.redsorceress.com/skybox.html
I did have to tweak it a little to get the end result.
