Is there a way (maybe a start option) to disable controller support? I cannot remap the secondary commands ingame for some reason (they do not highlight when hovering over them and cannot be changed) and having my flight sim peripherals plugged in results in the character going out of control. Plugging out the peripherals is not an option because they are simply not that easily reachable and the game also crashes on startup when they are unplugged. I have tried to delete the secondary control entries in the "user_key.cfg" but that too results in the game crashing as soon as a level is loaded...

Am I really forced to buy and plug in an "alibi" game controller just to be able to play a game that has worked flawlessly before?

Try disabling all your Joystick drivers from the Device Manager, that fixed it for me.
