Unable to change video mode

EDITED POST: Please ignore this thread, I have solved my own problem. I was attempting to edit video resolution settings with the default_settings.cfg file located in the redist directory when I need to edit the default_settings.cfg file located in the My Documents directory. I'm sorry for creating the pointless thread.
