The only reason you'd have a 32-bit OS is if your processor is too old to support 64-bit. You might wanna consider an upgrade. I honestly think it's a shame that Windows 10 is available as x86 at all (although that was the only one that would work for me in a virutal environment on a x64 machine). They should just drop it and force people to upgrade, because if your processor is too old to support x64, it probably won't run Windows 10 anyway. I know Apple stopped supporting x86 on desktops about 4-5 years ago, but then again they always supply the hardware themselves, so that would be easier for them to do.

Yes but if I move my files from my 32bit computer would it be corrupted on a 64bit computer?

What would corrupt? What method would be used? I don't see why it would corrupt any files if you're just moving them, because essentially what is done when you move something from one drive to another is that the files are copied and deleted, EG rewritten. If you're just moving the files from one 32-bit PC to a 64-bit PC, the files should be fine.

If what you mean by moving is upgrade your machine from 32-bit to 64-bit in one go, then idk if the files will remain.

The only issue with changing to 64-bit is that some programs might act strange if you just migrate them without optimizing them for 64-bit. So here's what you do:

1. Get a 64-bit machine.
2. Download and install whatever programs you want.

Remember, 64-bit machines can still run 32-bit applications just fine, so if your program doesn't have a 64-bit version, just use 32-bit. Many programs work better as 32-bit anyway, like Java and MS Office.

Blender: Easy and free to export 3d .obj files and other formats to Blender.

Mixpad: Turned my crappy PS Eye Camera to a really good recording microphone (with the help of Mr.Sock of course). Download the trial and after that downgrade to the free version. It works wonders once you get it!

Computer (hardware) itself doesn't upgrade even if software does. I'm nitpicking, but has to be clarified. For the computer to upgrade you need get new components like GPU, CPU and/or RAM.

You don't. You said you are upgrading the computer. You upgrade the software (OS, from 32-bit to 64-bit), not the computer.

The question is really just "Does your CPU support it?"
I believe that's the only part that really has a say whether you can install it. Of course others may enhance it or help it work well, but for it to allow you to install 64-bit Windows, you'll need a processor that can use it.
