RE: The Ultimate SOMA Discussion Thread

I was checking Imagos Films' Facebook page, and came across some interesting photos of possible locations where the action of the next SOMA teaser film might take place:
https://www.facebook.com/ImagosFilms/pos...8207980375
https://www.facebook.com/ImagosFilms/pos...4861258043
The hashtag they used in the posts ("Project Apophis") is their code name for SOMA.

As ridiculous as "Disco Ball Head" looks, I wonder if the 'Jiangshi' is in fact possessed in a similar manner to the Headcrab Zombies of Half-Life. The glimpse we've had of its bulbous face seems to show that it has multiple eyes and a mouth and that it's glowing - this could indicate that a biomechanical lifeform has latched itself onto a human host and is controlling them.
I think your theory might be right. Didn't we see one of those "disco balls" roaming free in the first gameplay trailer?

So maybe these machines do take over the bodies of humans by supplanting their brains/heads...

Also, I don't know if anyone else noticed, but in this gameplay preview at 01:19 there's a sign where it says that Upsilon is a geothermal power plant.

You're back! By the way, we already knew the Project Apophis thing.

I'm assuming " Depth" is the video they're working on right now, because its status on IMDb recently changed to "pre-production". The release date is still December, but hopefully that's just a placeholder.

I hope this game will use similar revolutionary fish AI that Call of Duty: Ghosts did!
