The main reason I play games is escapism. If SOMA draws me in and makes me forget the real world, I'll consider it a success (even though the experience will probably be unpleasant). "Fun" is secondary.

I noticed something in the final part of the new trailer: ![[Image: 88513bf581.jpg]](http://puu.sh/jZNpi/88513bf581.jpg)
I think we're outside. It looks like there is a wind and dust, there are even wind sounds in this part.

No, no other plantes. No space adventures. They SAID that, the game takes place at planet earth ONLY.

From all the information gathered so far there was a catastrophic event which possibly cut off communications with the rest of the world. Maybe even changed some parts of the earth completely (melted ice, evaporated part of the ocean, things that would either cover or uncover these research facilities).
That might be one of the facilities which were not available via the ping command during the ARG. Phi or Alpha?

Guess we'll find out in 17 days ...

One question, at which o'clock will SOMA get released? I want to play when it's dark, but starting the download at mid-night means that it's completed at 02:30 in the morning. And that's too late to play. And at the next morning it is not dark. So the best time would be 17:00 o'clock. So that the download is ready at 19:30 and then it is perfect time to play.

At the time of posting, Steam page says
 Quote:2 weeks, 3 days, 5 hours.
Right now, in Australia, it is 10:08pm AEST. 5 hours from now is 3:08am AEST. If it rounds to the nearest hour, that makes it 3:00am AEST. 3:00am AEST is 5:00pm GMT.

So you can use Google to search "convert 3:00am AEST to <your time zone>" OR "convert 5:00pm GMT to <your time zone>".

10 GB compressed file to download, 20 GB when installed and then some space left for saves and such.
