pS4 game breaking glitch

So I played through what I think is about half the game and am loving it. However, when I was in Theta labs at the security checkpoint I was hiding from a monster and my character just sunk through the floor. I could see the level rising above me as I fell into blackness. I quit the game and now everytime I restart I am just floating in a black void with a horrible noise playing. So that's it. I'm forced into not finishing the game. There is no way I am going to put in the 6-8 hours it took to get to this point. Have to say I am feeling pretty cheated by this experience.

Is there anything that I can do?
