Demo - unusual graphics problem

I have a bit of an unusual problem. And I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen (I don't think it is).

The lighting and the particle effects are turned the right way up, but the textures (i.e., everything else) is upside down, as if it has been flipped horizontally. :/

I have tried reducing the graphics, and have updated the drivers (and yes, restarted). Still nothing.

Help?

What is your graphic card?

ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics, on a notebook computer (I have played more hardware-hungry games on this computer).

I've tried reinstalling both the drivers and the game, again. Still no luck.

This is pretty weird. Does anyone know why this could be happening?

Hi i've got the same problem with demo. My graphic card is ASUS AH3650 series, anyone got idea how to solve this problem??

When install new drivers, did you first uninstall the old ones?

Not the first time, but now I did: I first uninstalled the old ones and then installed the new ones. It didn't help.

When you reduced the settings, did you try so much that you turned off everything that was possible? If not if you try that and it works, could you then turn them on 1 and 1 until it occurs again?

Yes, I turned off everything that I could, and it still didn't work.

Can you try and run the game in window mode and at a different resolution and see if that helps?

Also, perhaps open the ATI control panel, ATI Catalyst or what it is called, and see if there are some settings that can be turned off. For example if there is something set top be "forced" perhaps change it to "let the appliaction decide" or if there are settings with optimize or auto in the names, turn them of as those type of "improvements" can at times cause problems.

Tried in window mode and at a different resolution, still nothing.

I tried reinstalling the drivers; this time, I downloaded them from the notebook manufacturer page (as recommended here). I have an HP Compaq 6735s.
I downloaded the graphics drivers for my specific notebook model, for Windows XP (32 bit). This is the driver pack.

I first removed the old drivers, along with the Catalyst Control Center (which I haven't been able to open for quite some time now; I right-click on the desktop, and when I click on the CCC, I get an error message saying that the Control Center cannot be opened). After installing the drivers from the link above, I reinstalled the Demo (restarting the computer after each uninstall and install).

I still cannot open the Catalyst Control Center, and the game still doesn't work properly.
