Uncertain about buying game

Hi, I'm not sure if i should buy the game or not, i want to but there are a couple of concerns i have with the game which is holding me back from ordering it.

I really liked the demo and the vidoes of this game so far. But the playability is one main concern for me. So the game lasts roughly 7-10hrs and i will play through atleast twice maybe more depends on how entertaining i find it. I normally buy games with multiplayer and play 100+ hrs of gameplay. So to me i dont feel that i'm getting much out of the game than i would with another game. Also the editor i heard about, is it easy to use? and will it be free? as this could add alot of playing time into the game, and would help me decide if im going to buy the game or not.

Also, the price concerns me. the lowest i have seen it is at £10 something (on steam), thats a great price, but is there any reason its as low a price as that? Eg. is the games playability not so good or is the main value of the game lower than the average game?

EDIT: also why can i not buy this game from GAME, AMAZON, TESCO etc. ? this makes me feel like this is sort of a mini game if you know what i mean.

If your only concern is duration then there are plenty of games out there that will give you a better return.

The point for me at least, and others, is not that we are buying X hours of gameplay, but that we are buying the ability to enjoy certain types and qualities of experience. Whether they be 5 hours or 50 is often of little relevance (though $60 for 2 hours is likely pushing it, $15 for 10 hours certainly isn't).

I understand what you mean. I'm just a little short on cash at the moment, and have other games i'm looking forward to, and i dont have enough to buy two games at once till later this year, so i'm not wanting to take unnecessary chances.

Amnesia itself might only last for 2x10 hours or so for you but on the other hand I'm sure people will use the tools later on and release tons of user-made maps and contents.

Also it will be a rich 10 hours or so experience. One that definitely will tattoo itself into your brain and stay there forever. That's at least how hyped I am. If I were you there would be no doubt wheater to buy this or not. It's a no-brainer!
