Graphics problem game unplayable

When the game launches the developers logos are displayed incorrectly. The loading screen shows four sundials instead of one. When I get in the game I can hear the dialog (although the timing seems off). I can see the subtitles, but they are out of sync w/ the voice actors. The subtitles appear long after the corresponding dialog. I can't get farther than that. The game just hangs and I'm never advanced to the opening.
I'm playing the game as downloaded from frictional. I have played the demo through steam and it worked well.

My system:
AMD FX-54 CPU
Radeon X1950 pro video
2GB ram
Asus A8v-x MoBo
Windows XP pro 32bit

Check the pinned faq. Card isn't supported at this time. The devs are working on it.
