TUTORIAL: How to make a readable note

Mine's set up exactly like Neomin, but when i click the note it doesn't show title nor text. Can't figure out the problem!

You have to load the map via custom stories in the main menu for this to work (which also means that you have to prepare it to show up in the main menu, check how to make a custom story in the wiki).
Loading the map via the dev setup won't show any custom texts.

No I know, I've loaded the map via custom stories, but it doesn't work.

Does your custom discription show up? If not, your file is probably broken (a little mistake like a missing space corrupts the whole file).

If it does, you should check if you used the correct syntax which can be seen when you hover your mouse over the needed entries in the level editor.

In case you are totally desperate, upload your map and your extra_english.lang and I will take a look.

I tryed to make note and i didn't succeed ..

I dont know why it doesen't work for me either.


Did everything that is stated here, and the .lang file is not corrupted.

For those having problems:

1. Check your entire extra_english.lang. If just ONE little thing is wrong, the entire file won't work.
2. Make sure you're hitting ENTER after re-naming the NoteText section, or it won't save.
3. Check for little errors, like one too many spaces.

If all else is well, I always create notes using the lang_main file, not the extra_english.lang. It always works, and there's less problems.

Can you use the extra_english.lang instead of english.lang since the extra one is in your CS folder?
