Custom Story Distribution Idea Thread

That title was a mouthful.

Let's face it, the current system of distributing custom stories is pretty sub par, which is a shame considering how awesome the editors are.

A fix could be something as simple as a website with images and a download link. (I was going to register a domain like 'veryforgetful.com')

Anyway I'd love to hear your ideas on the matter. If one of the big boys at Frictional could give us some info, that would be appreciated.

Perhaps in these infancy stages a simple 'Release' style section on the forum would be a great thing, supporting thumbnails and a quick description. The current 'Showcase' sections is hardly a showcase, but more a subforum of forgotten ideas and misplaced posts.

Though if somebody is willing to make a site and accept submissions, major props.

The only reason I'm hesitating to make a site is the guys at Frictional said they were going to do something when they had time. I don't know if that was just being nice or they actually intend on doing it.

Id like to see something like hiveworkshop.com has for warcraft 3 maps but with more details.

Frictional will definitely do something about the distribution as soon as there are enough decent custom stories out.

The lack of updates on what is rather sub-par editors with a large amount of bugs - or even information about coming updates, is a sign of things to come. Or not to come. Or maybe sometime in the future, in a galaxy far far away...
