Spiders

There are spiders in the critter entity category. Has anyone been able to get them to work? When I place one its model is always rendered in the center of the map (0,0,0 position) but I can hear it running around and even attacking me. I would love to make a level with some nasty spiders in it. Big Grin

Maybe I'm doing something wrong...?

RE: Spiders

if i remember well, those spiders were static in the original game, so maybe they are meant to be static.

No, those spiders are another entity. As said, the one in the critter category will run around in the level and attack you (hurting you), however you can only hear it because it's invisible. Because of some bug it is always rendered at map coordinates 0,0,0 instead, fully animated and everything.

RE: Spiders

I've figured out that if you edit the spider entity and change its sphere collision body to be smaller (I put scale at 0.75) it will work. The spider will run around, climb on walls and the ceiling and occasionally attack you. It doesn't seem to be possible to kill it though, at least not by throwing stuff at it.

Here's a video of the spider http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E73Hg6q6Hww

Thanks Smile

It's where you start in the custom story I'm working on. I just used it to test the spider.
