Strange graphics problem, maybe textures?

I have no idea what is going on with this. but when i start up the game, even after editing all my options and stuff, i get this. and even after starting the game. the problem still remains. any help? i really want to play this game.

EDIT: im on Vista, i have an Nvidea GEFORCE 8600M GT with driver version 7.15.11.143

What OS? what video card? what video driver?

the latest driver for you is 260.63: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us . can you try it ?

Switch to using Shader Model 2.

yeah, ill try, strangest thing is it says its a notebook graphics card on the net, and mine is not a notebook :S, i got a dell inspiron 1720

just tried installing the update, as i couldnt find any other one for my graphics card on the site that wasnt a notebook one and it almost killed my computer. i only managed to save it half an hour ago.

This is most likely a driver issue. Attach hpl.log from "My Documents/Amnesia/Main" and I can make sure.
