Crashing problem.....(may contain spoilers)

My game keeps on crashing when i am exiting the storage area/enter the Hall. no matter what i do i can't seem to get it to work. Also my game runs terrible when my spec on my computer should be bale to run it fine.
(I own Amnesia through steam)

Specs are as followed: 2 nVidia_Geforce-GTX-280M 1Gb graphics cards
Intel Core duo 2.80 GHz
windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

In steam use the verify cache integrity function (or something along those lines).

As for performance, make sure to not set samples for ssao to more than 8-16 and not use high quality on ssao. Also do not use smooth edge. Other than that make sure all things in nvidia control panel is left as application controled and not forced. Finally make sure to not have a browser ideling in the background or anything else that could interfere.

If that fails, also try loading an earlier save game and see if that works.
